Got Smile? Part IV

YES!! Its finally done, finally over.....
My torment has come to an end....well....most of it.
The picture up there is my teeth, my "beautiful" teeth.
I had my braces done for 3days now, and I don like the feeling of it.
I know its only like 3days but its really really annoying!!
Yea, maybe I'll get use to it(I hope).

Okay, let me start my story at the clinic.
I arrive there at 10.30, waited for more than an hour there, cause some old auntie came late thus delay my appointment. But its ok, I'm not mad. I have news paper to read anyway. =D
I taught I'll be really nervous or scared or sweating when I got there, but none....well maybe I was a lil nervous but other than that, no feeling at all!
Hmm....maybe I just wanna get this over with asap so that I could enjoy my food once again.
Anyway, while I was happily reading away the papers, the nurse(actually I call her auntie Rachel, but is easier if I just call her nurse....feels weird calling her that) called me in.
I kinda forgotten why I was there in the first place. Must be the football article.
So I got up, fold the paper nicely, put it on the glass table, walk right down the hall, open the door that says "Surgery I", lie down on the chair while I wait for the doc to attend to me.
At that moment, I felt a lil more nervous, but not enough for me to get panic.

The doc check my teeth for awhile, then immediately grab the syringe and injected me.
I was a lil shock as I wasn't prepare for that encounter.
When I was younger, I really get freak out when the doc bring out the syringe. I was so scared that the doctor had to hide the thing from me and trick me to believe that I'm not getting the injection.
You should look at the darn thing, is huge I tell ya!! HUGE!! And I never like the numb feeling.
3 days ago my whole mouth was numb. I lost count of how many times he injected me.
I couldn't talk right. It felt like someone had just wham me with a baseball bat or something. Then the doc left me there for 10mins to get the medicine to work properly.
Since I got nothing to do while waiting, and I couldn't sleep, so I took some pic....

While waiting....

After 10mins the doc came back, clean my teeth and everything, THEN....
He pulls a plier out from no where, then he said, you SHOULDN'T fell any pain, even if there is a slightest pain, raise your hands.
He scared the crap out of me by saying shouldn't......Shouldn't?? Shouldn't?? Means there is possibility that I might feel pain la??!! o.O
So he put the plier into my mouth, clamp on one tooth, and he twist and turn and pop! Came out my tooth!!! Argh!! Eh....no pain wor??
Haha, my heart beat suddenly just stop beating like crazy and beat normally.
And he continue to pull out the other tooth as well....
And after that, I felt so relief....
Finally, the worst part, is over!!!! Hooray!!!

My beat up face...haha, Yes I know I look ugly.
The doc stuff cotton into my mouth to stop the bleeding.

And the final part is the doc install the tiny metal for me and tie with a wire, which becomes my braces.
And vuala!! This is how I look now...

Smile! Smile!!

Well the pain wasn't as bad as the first time I had the rubber ring in my mouth, yet it stills annoys me.
My front teeth doesn't have the strength to bite anything, because it was being stretch by the wire, and if anything contacts with it, it hurts. Not that much but still enough to keep me away from chewing.
So because of that, I have no choice but to peal or cut the food into smaller slices and put it and the back of my mouth to chew.
For the pass few days, all I ever had was soup, or oats like Quaker Oats....
Something that I can swallow with.
Haiz.....you know liquid food won't fill your tummy to the max, as I get hungry REAL fast....
Just only yesterday I follow my dad to some seminar in a hotel, and they serve rice for lunch.
I have no choice but to eat something like this(see below pic).
Yeap just sausage and egg, even slice up I still have some difficulties to chew my food up.
It was yummy thou.

If I could bite better that day, I would have taken more eggs and sausages!!
They really are tasty!!

I wonder how long will my braces take?
Hopefully it'll take a really short period of time, I hate cleaning the braces....

I hope this post doesn't discourage those of you who would like to have braces.
By all means go ahead...
As for me, well, initially I don't wanna put braces, but due to no choice, as a resort, I have to do it.
I'm kinda prepare for what ever suffering I may face cause I know sure will kena suffer like this wan....
But in the end, the suffering will pay out.
I'll have a cleaner teeth and a better smile. =)

Got Smile? Part III

Sigh....look at my beautiful teeth, ain't it beautiful? Not!
Yes, this is the second part of the process.
See behind, can you see? Yup exactly, before they put the wires across my teeth they need to put the hook like ring anchor on to my teeth.
Ain't they shiny?
The process? Well, to my surprise it wasn't as painful as the rubber thingy(Read previous post), but its really darn irritating.
I can't eat well, I can't drink well, I can't do anything!!
Why? Because there are four weird thing sticking out from my teeth as if I grew extra teeth!!
Really, its annoying....
On Monday I had this done, and yesterday(a few hours ago) my mum made western food for the fam, knowing how much I love western food!! All the greasy, crunchy, fried stuff, but I couldn't enjoy them...
One of the hook keep hooking on to my flesh and now I got ulcer....Well, not really a big one, but a really small one.
Still I went to the pharmacy to get me an ulcer gel...in case it gets bigger.
And my tongue, it keeps scratching against the metal, it annoys me every time I try to enjoy my food...haiz......

Maybe I'm not use to it I guess...
Hopefully I'll get use to it quick, or else I dunno how long am I gonna suffer....
I can't enjoy food like I use to anymore....
No more snickers, no more bubblegums!! No more muachi!!! Wait, muachi can right? Oh pls say can!!
The doc says it is likely that it will take up to 2years to finish up the process...2 YEARS!!

I can't wait that long doc!!! 2 years without my yummy foods? Thats like torture!! *Sob*

Well....I guess I'll have to wait then....
But look at the bright side, since I ain't gonna eat that much, means I get slimmer and fitter right? Right?? Or will I??? Hmm.....

Well this coming Thursday its the final process. Yup, the braces is finally going up, and the doc is gonna extract 2 teeth. So heres my last time saying goodbye to my teeth.
Goodbye teeth, see you in heaven.... *sob sob*

Got Smile? Part II

Bryan!!! It hurts!! It hurts!!! I dunno why yours doesn't but mine hurts!!
Yesterday I went to the dentist for my VERY 1st appointment.
First the doc uses some kind of clay like flour thingy to put into my mouth, both upper and lower so that they could cast out the mold of my teeth.
I almost puke, cause its disgusting!! It feels like someone shaft in some tasteless dough into my mouth.
The doc told me to relax, so I did...
Later the doctor did scaling(clean my teeth with canggih dental tool) for me. Well that was ok.
After that he put in some rubber stuff in between my wisdom tooth.
It seems like he uses full force to put it in. That seems ok too...
The nurses told me that I can eat solid, and if the rubbery thingy drop of I have to come back to put it back in, and the pain will only kick in the evening. If its too pain, take painkillers.
So I taught to myself, how pain could it be??

Later that evening.....
The pain really started to kick in, but its bearable.
So I taught of eating some bread instead of rice, cause bread is softer.
So I bought some bread to eat. I took a bite, AND IT HURTS!!!! Ouch!!!!!
I have to nibble the bread, using my front teeth to chew, like a herbivore....so sad!!
I couldn't enjoy my precious bread.....I love bread!! Reluctantly, I gave the rest of it to my brother..... T.T
So my mum made porridge for me.....T.T
I literally have to swallow my porridge....instead of eating it I'm drinking it....sad, sad, sad

Today is the second day, and the pain isn't that bad anymore, but I still can't chew, I have to "drink" porridge still....
My mum told me that my cousin couldn't even talk, it took 3days for him to recover from it.
So today is the second, I hope tomorrow the pain will be minimal...
My bro said that every time I go back to the dentist, I have to suffer 3days of pain....WHY??!!!

I know some of you think I'm such a sissy, but imagine this! The rubbery thing is about 1mm thick, and the gap between your tooth is what?? Less then 0.5mm!!!!! So you said pain or not??


How long is the suffering gonna be?? How long!! All my food, my lovely, precious, yummy food!!! When can I eat you??!!! Its been 2days(including today) since I had a solid food!!! *Sob sob sob*

Don't they look tasty??
Darn now I'm hungry..... -.-"

So you must be wondering why am I up so early right?
Well, because today is the day that I'm going to the dentist for my braces appointment!! o.O
Scarrryyy!!!!!
I never like going to the dentist!! I hate the HUGE BIG needle that the doctor use to numb my pain...
I hate that feeling! The feeling of wondering when the doctor is gonna shaft the needle into the mouth!! Argh.....!!

Haiz.....I have an x-ray done on my mouth, and to my surprise, I didn't even know that my teeth was so that bad!! Check it out

I kinda reluctant to do my braces at first, but the Doc said if I don't get it done quick, in the future I might loose those important teeth at the back!!
So I taught for awhile, and I've decided to do it....
Better suffer now than suffer then right? After all its just a short period of time!! 1 year the most right??
But for the mean time, no fancy nice food for me!! No more cupcakes!! No more McD!!! T.T

Sad.....
Alright, gotta get changing to meet the Doc....
Will take pic for you all when I'm back from the dentist.
Hope they give me a really cool braces ^-^
